Innovation, creativity, collaboration and problem-solving came alive across P P Savani University as the University successfully conducted the Preliminary Round of the Internal Hackathon for Smart India Hackathon (SIH) 2026.

With an impressive participation of 887 students forming 148 teams, the Internal Hackathon provided a dynamic platform for young innovators to identify real-world challenges, develop technology-driven solutions and present their ideas before an expert jury.

A Campus-Wide Celebration of Innovation

The scale and enthusiasm of participation reflected the growing culture of innovation and entrepreneurship at PPSU.

Across multiple venues, students worked collaboratively, exchanged ideas, explored emerging technologies and transformed problem statements into potential solutions with real-world impact.

The hackathon encouraged participants to go beyond conventional thinking and approach challenges through technology, creativity and teamwork. From Artificial Intelligence and Tourism to Blockchain & Cybersecurity, FinTech, Smart Education and emerging technologies, students demonstrated diverse ideas addressing contemporary challenges.

Top Performing Teams

The preliminary round witnessed several promising teams that stood out for their innovative approach, problem-solving capabilities and presentation.

1. AI Avengers — Tourism

Team Members: Rojivadiya Yug, Namami Pahariya, Kashish Mishra, Priyanshi Rupareliya, Yug Madhu and Prabha Chaudhary
Mentor: Mr. Dharmesh Purani

The team explored how Artificial Intelligence and digital technologies can transform the tourism experience by helping travellers discover destinations, plan personalized journeys, access reliable information and explore local attractions more efficiently.

Their solution focused on making tourism more personalized, accessible and technology-driven.

2. CipherVote — Blockchain & Cybersecurity

Team Members: Pratham Bhaveshbhai Suthar, Drashti Gadhiya, Shaikh Mohammad Burhan Mo. Farid, Mulla Mohammad Alfaz, Maitry Hemant Rajpal and Shehnaz Bano Ansari
Mentor: Dr. Ankur Rai

CipherVote focused on the potential of Blockchain and Cybersecurity to create secure, transparent and tamper-resistant digital systems.

The team addressed challenges related to identity protection, secure transactions, fraud prevention, manipulation and cyber threats, demonstrating the importance of trust and security in an increasingly digital world.

3. DRAPEFIT AI — FinTech

Team Members: Pritesh Vaghamshi, Akshay Hariyani, Rinkal Nagotha, Tanish Patel, Rajveersinh Gohil and Harry Nakrani
Mentor: Mr. Akash Gupta

DRAPEFIT AI explored the intersection of Artificial Intelligence and FinTech to develop secure, personalized and efficient financial services.

The team focused on challenges such as financial decision-making, fraud detection and risk management, highlighting how intelligent technology can contribute to a more accessible and user-centric financial ecosystem.

4. Code Crew — Miscellaneous

Team Members: Pram Suchak, Yajnesh Kahar, Samarth Parmar, Aarya Makadiya, Girish Kumar and Prakriti Maity
Mentor: Ms. Shruti Mishra

Code Crew took on the challenge of applying emerging technologies to solve real-world problems.

Their approach emphasized improving efficiency, accessibility, convenience and service delivery, demonstrating how technology can be adapted to address practical challenges faced by communities and users.

5. The Nervousious — Smart Education

Team Members: Divya Pratapkumar Dhirwani, Patel Vraj, Ish Domadiya, Bhautik Nimbark, Varun Kapopara and Yagnik Panchani
Mentor: Mr. Raviraj Chauhan

The Nervousious focused on the future of Smart Education, exploring how Artificial Intelligence and digital technologies can create more personalized, engaging, accessible and effective learning environments.

Their solution aimed at enhancing the student learning experience and academic outcomes through technology-enabled education.
