Dear Colleagues,
We are delighted to announce the International Symposium on Integrated Computational and Experimental Methods for Innovation in Chemistry and Interdisciplinary Sciences (ICEMI-CHEMIS 2025), to be held on 03–04 September 2025 in a hybrid mode at P P Savani University, Gujarat, India.
This symposium aims to bring together researchers, academicians, and industry professionals from across disciplines to share recent advances, foster collaboration and encourage innovation at the interface of computational and experimental chemistry and interdisciplinary sciences. The event will provide a unique platform to explore emerging research trends across fields such as molecular modeling, catalysis, green chemistry, materials science, microbial chemistry, biotechnology and data-driven approaches.
ICEMI-CHEMIS 2025 is an initiative to promote interdisciplinary dialogue, enhance knowledge exchange, and encourage innovation through technical sessions and poster presentations. It also aims to empower young researchers by offering an inclusive environment for scientific interaction and growth.

CALL FOR ABSTRACTS

Participants are invited to submit abstracts in the prescribed template by 23 August 2025 through the online form only. Abstract submissions must be in English and formatted as Microsoft Word (.doc/.docx) file.

Please refer to the abstract guidelines and ensure that your submission strictly follows the formatting instructions provided in the template.

Each participant may submit and present only one abstract.

All submitted abstracts will undergo peer review, and the notification of abstract acceptance will be communicated on or before 23 August 2025.

All official communication will be directed to the email address provided during registration. If no communication is received by that date, authors are requested to contact the Symposium Secretariat.

Accepted abstracts will be scheduled for oral or poster sessions as determined by the Scientific Committee.

Please note that only accepted abstracts with completed registration fee payment by the registration deadline will be included in the Final Program.

The Organizing Committee reserves the right to use, reproduce, and publish submitted and accepted abstracts for all official purposes related to the symposium without further notice.

Presentation Guidelines

    Guidelines to prepare your oral presentation (Offline/Online) :

  • Presentation duration: Maximum 8 minutes
  • Chairs will strictly enforce the time limit.
  • Focus on conveying your main message clearly within the time.
  • Use simple, uncluttered slides with minimal text per slide.
  • Ensure all text and visuals are clearly readable from anywhere in the auditorium.
  • Avoid overcrowding slides and using very small fonts.

    Guidelines to prepare your poster (Offline) :

  • Poster size: A0 (1189 mm x 841 mm), portrait orientation.
  • The poster must include: Abstract ID, Title, Authors, Abstract, Methodology, Results, Conclusion, etc.
  • Pins for mounting will be provided by the organizers.
  • Ensure high-resolution images and clear, readable text.
  • Avoid overcrowding the poster with text or using very small fonts.

    Guidelines to prepare your poster (Online) :

  • Prepare your poster as a single PowerPoint slide in .ppt or .pptx format (Windows-compatible).
  • Set the slide aspect ratio to 16:9 for optimal screen display.
  • The slide must include the following: Abstract ID, Title, Authors, Abstract, Methodology, Results, Conclusion, and relevant visuals.
  • Ensure content is well-organized and legible; avoid overcrowding the slide or using fonts that are too small to read comfortably.

    Presentation Format :

  • Presentation Time : 5 minutes
  • Q&A Session : 2 minutes

    Judging Criteria for Best Oral Presentation Award :

  • Originality and Creativity :
    The research exhibits innovative ideas or approaches, demonstrating creativity and originality.
  • Organization and Clarity :
    The presentation is logically structured with seamless transitions across sections—Introduction, Methods, Results, and Discussion. Visual aids such as charts, graphs, and illustrations are appropriate, clear, and enhance comprehension. Conclusions are well-supported by the evidence presented. Slides are legible and professionally designed.
  • Communication Skills :
    The presenter conveys the research effectively, maintains audience engagement, and responds thoughtfully and confidently to questions posed by the audience and session chair.

    Judging Criteria for Best Poster Presentation Award :

  • Visual Appeal
    Is the poster well-organized and visually balanced?
    Are text and images easy to read from a distance?
  • Content & Clarity
    Is the content logically structured and easy to follow?
    Are the findings clear and conclusions well-supported?
  • Conciseness
    Can the poster be read and understood in about 5 minutes?
    Is the technical content presented clearly and briefly?
  • Communication Skills
    Did the presenter explain the poster well and answer questions clearly?
    Was the delivery confident, clear, and engaging?
  • Overall Impact
    Does the research show originality or potential contribution to the field?
    Does the presenter understand the broader relevance of their work?

    Advice :

  • Show why your research matters—highlight its significance and real-world impact.
  • Time it right—practice your talk to stay within the given time limit.
  • Own the space—speak clearly, confidently, and engage your audience throughout.

Best Presentation Awards :

ICEMI-CHEMIS 2025 is pleased to announce that Best Presentation Awards will be conferred to student participants in recognition of outstanding oral and poster presentations during the symposium.

Publication

Conference Proceedings / Special Issue

Participants registered with abstracts may be invited for full-length paper submission for inclusion in conference proceedings, peer-reviewed indexed journal or an edited book as per their review policy. Submission by invitation only (under consideration).

Further details regarding publication opportunities will be announced during/after the symposium.

    Indian Participants (INR Payments) :

  • Registration fees are inclusive of 18% GST.
  • Payment can be made via Debit Card/Credit Card/Netbanking/UPI/Bharat QR.
  • Ensure the amount matches your registration category.
  • After payment, ensure to upload the payment receipt in the registration form.

    Foreign Nationals (USD Payments) :

  • No GST is applicable for international registrations if payment is made from outside India in USD.
  • Payment can be made via Credit/Debit Card only. Ensure the card is activated for international transactions.
  • Payment must be made in USD via the designated link.
  • It takes around 7-8 days for the international payments to reflect in the account; hence registration will be confirmed after the receipt of the payment.

Insurance

Registration fees do not include any form of insurance. Participants are advised to arrange their own travel, health, and personal property insurance. The organizers will not be responsible for any loss, injury, or damage incurred during the symposium.

Climate

The weather in Surat, Gujarat during early September is typically warm and humid, with occasional light to moderate showers due to the receding monsoon. Daytime temperatures range from 30°C to 32°C, and evenings can drop to around 24°C. Light, breathable clothing is recommended. Carrying an umbrella or raincoat is advisable.

Time Zone

India follows Indian Standard Time (IST), which is UTC +05:30.
In international and technical databases, IST is represented by Asia/Kolkata.

Electricity Voltage

Electrical supply in India is 230 volts, 50 Hz AC.
Plug types commonly used are Type C, D, and M.

Direct Route :

By Air :

The nearest airport is Surat International Airport (STV), located approximately 50 km from P P Savani University. The airport is well connected to major Indian cities such as Mumbai, Delhi, Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Kolkata, and Jaipur. From the airport, taxis and app-based cab services are available for direct travel to the university campus.

By Train :

The nearest railway station is Kosamba Junction, just 5 km from the PPSU campus. It is well connected to major cities including Ahmedabad, Vadodara, Surat, Mumbai, Delhi, and Rajkot. You may also use Surat Railway Station, which is a major hub and located around 45 km from the university.

By Road :

P P Savani University is easily accessible via NH-48 (Delhi–Mumbai Highway). It is situated approximately 35 km from Surat city and 5 km from Kosamba town. Regular bus and private vehicle services are available from Surat, Bharuch, Ankleshwar, and nearby towns.
Auto-rickshaws and taxis are readily available from Kosamba railway station or town center to reach the university.

Visa Information

All international participants are required to possess a valid visa to enter India. We recommend applying well in advance to avoid any delays. Most participants can apply for an Indian Tourist Visa or Conference Visa, depending on their country of origin and institutional affiliation.
Upon request, the Organizing Committee can provide a formal Invitation Letter to assist in the visa application process after successful registration.
