It is my great honor and privilege to serve as the Medical Superintendent of P. P. Savani Ayurvedic College & Hospital, Kosamba. Our hospital is a 100-bedded, multispecialty Ayurvedic hospital located within the serene and green campus of P. P. Savani University, near Kosamba, District Surat, Gujarat. The peaceful natural environment of our campus supports healing and provides comfort to patients by harmonizing body, mind, and soul with nature.
Our hospital is well planned and fully functional with all major clinical departments of Ayurveda. We provide services through six specialties: Kayachikitsa, Panchakarma, Shalya Tantra, Shalakya Tantra, Prasuti Tantra and Stri Roga, Agada tantra and Kaumarbhritya (Balroga). We have spacious OPD rooms, well-maintained IPD wards, properly equipped Panchakarma therapy rooms, and operation theatres designed as per high structural, functional, and safety standards.
We are supported by a committed team of experienced consultant doctors, Ayurvedic medical officers, trained nursing staff, and skilled therapists. For patient convenience, advanced diagnostic facilities such as a pathological laboratory and radiology department are available within the hospital premises. We also provide additional supportive care through our Physiotherapy Centre and Yoga Centre, especially beneficial for patients with neuromuscular, musculoskeletal, and stress-related disorders.
Inspired by the Upanishadic principle “वसुधैव कुटुम्बकम्” (the whole world is one family), our hospital is dedicated to serving humanity with authentic and classical Ayurvedic treatments based on time-tested principles and protocols.
Ayurveda teaches us :
“स्वस्थस्य स्वास्थ्य रक्षणं, आतुरस्य विकार प्रशमनं च”
— to preserve the health of the healthy and to cure the illness of the diseased. In accordance with this philosophy, our hospital regularly conducts medical and health awareness camps for the public in and around the Kosamba region, with special emphasis on preventive healthcare and seasonal disease management.
Our skilled consultants offer treatments for body purification, disease management, immunity enhancement, and patient counseling from branches of Kya chikitsa and Panchakarma. Swarna Prashana camps are periodically conducted by the Balroga department to support the physical and mental development of children. Women’s health services through Prasuti Tantra and Stri Roga address healthcare needs from menarche to menopause. Specialized care is also available in Shalya Tantra, Shalakya Tantra, Agad Tantra (toxicology), Swasthavritta, and Yoga.
I am pleased to share that our hospital is currently preparing for NABH (National Accreditation Board for Hospitals & Healthcare Providers) accreditation, with the goal of achieving accreditation by February 2026. As part of this initiative, we are strengthening patient safety measures, standardizing clinical and administrative processes, improving infection control practices, enhancing documentation, and focusing on continuous quality improvement. This step reflects our strong commitment to delivering safe, ethical, and high-quality healthcare services in line with national standards.
With this vision, P. P. Savani Ayurvedic College & Hospital remains dedicated to providing accessible, affordable, and reliable Ayurvedic healthcare to all sections of society. I feel proud to be part of this institution and remain committed to serving our nation through the healing wisdom of Ayurveda.
